About Morgan Bay Hotel

Morgan Bay Hotel

Morgan Bay has and always will be a family seaside holiday resort.  In 1946 Ivan Warren- Smith brought a boarding house and converted it into the hotel. It has remained in the family ever since – the present owners are Richard Warren-Smith, Ivan’s grandson and his wife Jackie.   Morgan Bay Hotel is in the untamed heart of the Wild Coast.  Comfortably furnished, your room overlooks the Indian Ocean, lapping right in front of you. Tea, coffee, sugar, kettle, fresh towels, bedding, toiletries are supplied in each room. Baby cots are available on request. As well as a family destination, it is also a place for the incurable romantic, with endless expanses of sea, cliffs and sky.

This piece of paradise urges you to relax and slow down.  The coastal village lies nestled between majestic cliffs and a mile long stretch of unspoilt beach.  It is flanked by a stunning lagoon.  Enjoy adventurous days waking along the beach to the light house or wander over the cliffs down to Double mouth, in search of Cornelia beads or shards of Ming china washed ashore from the Santo Espriritus shipwreck of the 1600’s.  Scenes of breathtaking views, unspoiled beaches, awesome cliffs, meandering rivers and tranquil lagoons are a nature lover’s dream. An abundance of marine life (most of it edible) can be caught off this rugged coastline. A new addition to the hotel, due to open in November 2011 includes a wellness centre, Function Venue, new bar and restaurant and the Sandhoppa Boutique.
