Malelane Mpumalanga Lowveld Information

Malelane is a farming town situated just outside the Kruger National Park on the banks of the Crocodile River. Malelane is a laid back town and it is thought that the town name may stem from the Swazi word "Lala" which means sleep. Many subtropical fruits are grown here including sugarcane. There are many game farms in the surrounding areas and the town is close to the Malelane Gate entrance to The Kruger Park. Nature prevails here and the quiet of the bush at night and the birdsong in the mornings make it a unique experience.
