Muldersdrift is only 30 kms from either Johannesburg or Pretoria. It is within a short distance from Mapungubwe – the Cradle of Human kind a Unesco world heritage site. Muldersdrift is situated in a rural area surrounded by many small holdings and farms.

Muldersdrift is at the centre of the nearby Sterkfontein Caves where many significant archeological finds were made. Fossils between 2 to 4 million years old have been found there.

Muldersdrift offers a range of accommodation from tented camps to five-star luxury lodges. It also boasts some of the finest restaurants. For the adventurous one can go hot air ballooning, river rafting, hiking.

Muldersdrift is on the popular Crocodile Ramble, a route which runs along the Crocodile River, one of the most popular arts and crafts routes in South Africa.
