Sandton is often referred to as the richest “square mile” in Africa. It has attracted the financial institutions which moved from Johannesburg to Sandton which has replaced Johannesburg as the financial hub. One of the main attractions in Sandton is Sandton City, one of the largest shopping malls in Africa where all the world famous brands are sold.
Adjacent to the Mall is the Nelson Mandela square with restaurants to please all palates. Towering over the square is the 6 metre bronze statue of the former statesman. Sandton Convention Centre is one of the largest convention centres on the African continent. The Gautrain rail link between the O.R.
